Will Romeo, singer, songwriter and guitarist for Gameday Regulars is known as a pioneer amongst his friends and peers alike. His ‘balls to the wall’ and ‘never give up’ attitude stays true to the formula of the numerous DIY punk bands that have paved the way for, and influenced Gameday Regulars.
Brothers Will and Gino Romeo, and recently acquired bassist John Ryan have spent the last year and a half touring relentlessly supporting the 2011 EP ‘…But it’s hell in the Hallway’ (Mightier Than Sword). On January 8th 2012, Bronx, NY punk trio Gameday Regulars will release their second effort ‘Nobody Likes a Quitter’ on Veggie Co. Records.
‘Nobody Likes a Quitter’ was recorded, mixed and mastered by longtime friend and producer Gregory Dunn of Moving Mountains. Founding member, Will Romeo explained the process of making the EP as a true collaborative effort from the band, as they really let the songs speak for themselves. The four tracks featured on ‘Nobody Likes a Quitter’ mirror the bands live performance, which is very much a gritty, in your face, emotional, and passionate sound. The lyrics envelop themes of brotherhood, betrayal, heartbreak and a journey into a new life
